For me a focus on the goodness and redemption of our world and bodies cultivates these feelings of freedom. The color blue captures these ideas for me because blue is both moody and exciting, dark yet playful, life-giving yet mysterious. The combination of blue and white makes me feel a sense of peace that is hopeful, yet realistic about the world. The blue colors channel their way over the surface of the canvas like a free-flowing river. The bright white in the painting playful nudges the blue, creating a dance between the colors.
